Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who reached Abu Dhabi this morning from Rome concluding her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City, is set to return home on Saturday after making a stopover in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return home on Saturday evening after making a stopover in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi,” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS by phone from there.
An Etihad Airways flight carrying the premier and her entourage landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport this morning when Bangladesh Ambassador to UAE Mohammad Imran and senior officials received her at the airport.
The premier departed Leonardo da-Vinci Fiumicino Airport in Rome for Abu Dhabi at 10 am local time on Wednesady (3 am BST Thursday) winding up her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City.
She attended the annual governing council meeting of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome and held meetings with Pope Francis and Secretary State of Vatican City Cardinal Pietro Paroline at the Vatican City.
