Police raid fails to catch Saad killers from BAU hall


Police on Tuesday night raided Shaeed Shamsul Haque Hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh to catch accused charge sheeted Saad murderers after passing two years of the killing.But after two hours of raid police was unsuccessful to catch criminals as accused Faysal Islam Joy, former Organizing Secretary of BCL and Sumon parvez, also a BCl activist BAU chapter managed to escape from the dormitory.
Earlier, the followers of Joy locked the main gate protesting raid while Police wanted to catch them.
I gave permission to police as they came with arrest warrant but Joy is not residential student of my hall, said Prof Dr Fakir Ajmol Huda, Provost of the hall.
We raided hall to catch accused charge-sheeted criminals Joy and Sumon but we could not find anyone.
It is to be mentioned that Saad Ibney Momtaz, a final year student of fisheries faculty was died on 1 April, 2014 of severe beating by BCl activists. – BAU Correspondent
