Box-office hit Poramon-2 will now be released in India. This announcement comes following the declaration that Indian film Sultan will be released in Bangladesh on July 6. The two films will be exchanged as part of SAFTA contract.
Poramon-2 will be released in West Bengal, Assam, Bihar on July 20. Shree Venkatesh Films will release the film in India while Jaaz Multimedia, the production house behind Poramon-2 will oversee the release works of Sultan: The Saviour in Bangladesh, Abdul Aziz, chief of Jaaz Multimedia has revealed.
Sultan: The Saviour casts Bangladeshi actors Bidya Sinha Meem, Taskin Rahman and Aman Reza alongside Indian actors Jeet and Priyanka Sarkar. The film is co-produced by Jaaz Multimedia. Still it would be released as an Indian film under the SAFTA agreement.
On the other hand, just a day ago it was revealed that Joya Ahsan has opted out of Srijit Mukherjee’s upcoming classic film “Chaurangi.” The film is based on a 50’s novel by Mani Shankar Mukhopadhyay on the love affair between waitress and guests at a residential hotel in Chaurangi, Kolkata.
