Dhaka – League leaders Prime Bank Cricket Club tasted their first defeat in the 6th match of the Dhaka metropolis Premier Division Cricket League after conceding a huge seven-wicket defeat against last time runners-up Prime Doleshwar SC at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Tuesday.In the day’s other matches, holders Abahani Limited registered the 4th win in their 6th league match beating Kalabagan KC by six wickets at BKSP ground-4 while Dhaka Mohammedan SC also earned the 4th win in their 6th league match beating Legends of Rupganj by 51 runs in a low scoring match at BKSP ground-3 in Savar.Winning the toss in Fatullah, Prime Bank SC batted first and were all out for 180 runs in 49.5 overs.Two down Zakir Hassan contributed the team highest 52 runs off 103 balls featuring two fours and a six, Asif Ahmed scored 52-ball 33 runs with four boundaries while Ariful Haque made 34-ball 30 runs hitting one four and a six.Delwar Hossain bowled superbly to grab three wickets for 17 runs in his eight over spell with four maidens and was adjudged man of the match. Farhad Reza also took three wickets for 30 runs.In reply, Prime Doleshwar SC easily reached their target scoring match-winner 181 runs for the loss three wickets in 45.2 overs.After the departure of two openers, one down Shahriar Nafees and paring with number four Marshall Ayub guided the team near victory contributing 123 runs in the 3rd wicket stand.Top order national coloured batsman Shahriar Nafees hammered an unconquered 78 runs off 125 balls featuring five fours and one six while Marshall Ayub scored 85-ball 62 runs with six boundaries. Jaker Ali (not out 17) and opener Imtiaz Hossain (11) were the other major contributors for Prime Doleshwar.Al Amin Hossain took two wickets for 26 runs.Sent into bat first at BKSP ground-4,  Kalabagan KC were dismissed cheaply for 156 runs in 45.5 overs with skipper Tushar Imran scoring 36, Zimbabwean Hamilton Masakadza 31 and Muktali Ali 22 runs. Shuvagata Hom maged the major damage in Kalabagan innings claiming four wickets for 19 runs in his 10 over spell with four maidens and was adjudged man of the match.Mohammad Saifuddin and Mannan Sharma took two wickets each giving away 26 and 30 runs respectively.Chasing an easy target, Abahani Limited scored 161 runs for the loss of four wickets in just 30.2 overs with one down saif Hasan making 62-ball 61 runs hitting six fours and one six.Besides, Mohammad Mithun (not out 30), Nazmul Hssan Shanta (24), Liton Das (20) and Shadman Islam (20) were the other main contributors for Abahani.Abu Hasan captured two wickets for 20 runs.Sent into bat first at BKSP ground-3, Dhaka Mohammedan SC scored 135 for all in 39.4 overs with skipper Raqibul Hasan making 24, Shamsur Rahman 23, Nazmul Hossain Milon 20, Zabid Hossain 19, Ronny Talukder 17 and Kamrul Islam Rabbi 15 runs.Asif Hossain bagged four wickets for 19 runs while Mohammad Sharif and Jalaj S Saxena took two wickets each for 15 and 35 runs respectively.Chasing a poor target, Legends of Rupganj were bundled out cheaply for just 84 runs in 32.4 overs against devastating bowling national spinner Taijul Islam.Mosharruf Hossain (22), Naeem Islam (15) and Yasir Ali (14) were the notable batsman for Legends of Rupbang reaching the double figure.Taijul grabbed six wickets for 24 runs in 10 overs with one maiden to be adjudged man of the match.UNB news agency
