Remembering Bobbi Kristina Brown

It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub in her home in Atlanta on Jan 31, 2015.Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of late music legend Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown, died on July 26, 2015 at the age of 22, approximately seven months after the incident occurred. A year later, her case remains under investigation. As ET previously reported, Bobbi Kristina was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, after she was discovered unresponsive. She was put on a ventilator to assist her breathing and later placed in a medically induced coma at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital. As conditions worsened and she saw no sign of improvements, the New Jersey native was taken off all medications and moved to Peachtree Christian Hospice care in Duluth, Georgia, where she ultimately died.

Strangely, Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney, was also found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11, 2012.The heartbroken teenager, only 18 at the time of her mother’s death, confided in her close childhood friend, Nick Gordon. The two started dating and got engaged in October 2012. Despite reports of Bobbi Kristina and Nick claiming they tied the knot in January 2013, her father’s lawyer put rumors to rest, stating she “is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”When Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious, Nick was at the scene and had performed CPR on her before paramedics arrived. Three months before she died, Nick appeared on Dr. Phil, where he revealed that he was not allowed to visit her in the hospital. Shortly after, he checked himself into rehab for seven weeks. On June 24, 2015, Bobbi Kristina’s court-appointed conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, filed a lawsuit against Nick, accusing him of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and transferring money from Bobbi Kristina’s account into his own without authorization. In a statement to ET, Nick’s lawyers slammed the lawsuit, claiming it is both “slanderous and meritless.” Nick has not been arrested in connection with Bobbi Kristina’s death.
