“We sincerely hope this issue will be settled as soon as possible and China is willing to play a constructive role to this end,” Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Ma Mingqiang said on Monday evening. While addressing a reception at the Chinese Embassy marking the 68th founding anniversary of China, he said some 150 tonnes of relief materials from China will reach Chittagong within a couple of days.
It is expected that the relief materials will reach Chittagong on September 28, said an official.

Over 430,000 Rohingyas arrived in Bangladesh since August 25.
The Ambassador said Bangladesh and China are developing countries with a large population and two countries have many things in similar.
“I am convinced that the hardworking Chinese and Bangladeshi will realise their respective dream and surely closer cooperation will serve this purpose,” he added.
