RU seeks police security for its foreign students

The administration of Rajshahi University (RU) is aware of the need to give security to foreign students studying in the university after the murder of two foreigners in Bangladesh. The university has informed Motihar police station to strengthen the security to the foreigner students. They also imposed restriction over movement all of them on the campus.University sources says, there are five foreign students and researchers in different departments and institutes of the university. They are Japanese Kenzi Suzi, assistant researcher of Institute of biological science, Indian Sodapti Acharja, researcher of Theater department Nepali Zilani Ansari of Applied Chemistry and Electronic Engineering, Nepali Bashanta Razgiri of Computer Science and Engineering and Ranzit Mallik of Animal Husbandary and Veterinary Science. All of them are residents in the Shaheed Mir Abdul Kayyum international dormitory of the university.
Contacted Student advisor Sadequl Arefin Matin said we are aware of security of the foreign students and they also have been asked to maintain cocontacts with the authorities.
The Officer-in-charge (OC) Humayn Kabir of Motihar Police station said, we have found a list of foreign students and researchers and are ready to give security to them any time. – RU Correspondent
