Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has finally got its release date. It was just yesterday when Supreme Court removed the four states ban on the film and now it will have its national release. What comes as a twist here is the fact that Padmaavat will now hit the screens along with Akshay Kumar’s PadMan ahead of the Republic Day Weekend.
Since Padmaavat has already faced its share of controversies, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali doesn’t want the film to suffer more at the box-office. A source told us that Bhansali met Akshay today and had a long chat with the actor. Keeping in mind all the difficulties that came in Padmaavat’s way, SLB has now requested Akshay to push the release date of PadMan. It’s said that Akshay has a given a thought about the same and may consider Bhansali’s request. If this happens, Padmaavat won’t be seen suffering at the box-office, reports ANI
