In UEFA EURO 2016 kicking off Friday, 24 national football teams will compete for the title of continental champion of Europe. The last two championships held in 2012 and 2008 years were won by Spain. It is the million-dollar question who will be the champion this time since numerous factors can affect the results of matches. One of such factors is the composition of national football teams. Now a lot of sportsmen play in parallel for a country’s national team and for another country’s club. So, national teams differ in terms of how much of their players represent other countries’ clubs. Thus, all members of England national team play for English clubs. On the contrary, no one member of Northern Ireland national team plays for domestic clubs: most of them prefer English clubs. Similarly, only one member of Albania national team plays for Albanian club, while the others play for clubs of 13 different countries. The previous Euro 2012 champion, Spain, by 72% consists of players, who play for Spanish football clubs. – Source: knoema.com
