Dhaka– Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman finished joint 39th in the US$300,000 Yeangder Heritage carding one-under-par 71 in the final round at National Golf Country Club in Thailand on Sunday.The two time Asian Tour winner Siddikur aggregated two-under-par 286, stayed 14 shots behind the title winner Shiv Kapur (India), who aggregated 16-under-par 272.The 35-year-old Kapur fired with a sparkling eight-under-par 64 in the final round, highlighted by eight birdies, for his second Asian Tour title after an 11-year and four months wait.Kapur started his campaign carding one-under 71 in the first round and then two under-par 70 in the 2nd round before five-under-par 67 in the 3rd round.Gavin Green (Malaysia) finished runner-up aggregating 14-under-par (71, 70, 66, 67) 274, pushing Yikeun Chang (Korea) to 3rd place after tiebreaking at the inaugural Yeangder Heritage.In the final round, Siddikur birdied three against two dismal bogies. He traded the first bogey in the 6th hole of first 9. The Tiger Woods of Bengal traded the 2nd bogey in the 12th hole but bounced back with three birdies to put the 13th, 15th and 16th holes of the second 9.Siddikur carded three-under-par 69 in the 3rd round after one-over-par 73 each in the 2nd and 1st rounds respectively.UNB news agency
