Six including Indian citizen arrested while crossing Hili border

Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB)  arrested six persons including five
Bangladeshis and an Indian while they were attempting to illegally
cross Hili border in
Dinajpur on Monday afternoon, BGB and police sources said.
A special BGB patrol party from Hili CP Camp arrested them
from a place near international boundary pillar no 285/19S at
Hili border under Hakimpur upazila at 4pm when they were trying
to cross the international border illegally.
The arrested persons are as Krishna, 17, of village Lehamba,
Mangal Chandra, 20, of village Bachhor, Falin Barman, 24, of
village Bagsa under Ranisonkoil upazila, Ruhani Kumar Barman, 20,
of village Boalia under Ruhia upazila and Sushil Chandra, 22, of
village Mola Kuri under Sadar upazila in Thakurgaon and Indian
citizen Uday Barman, 47, of village Rajganj under Islampur Thana
in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal.
After searching the arrested persons, the BGB members seized
Indian rupees 4,000, Bangladeshi Taka 38,000 and two mobile phone
sets from their possessions, BGB Company Commander of Hili CP
Company Atahar Ali said.
After filing a case in this connection, the arrested persons
were handed over to Hakimpur police station, the sources said.
