A Chittagong court on Tuesday granted five-day remand to five persons who were detained in connection with the recovery of 2.71 crore Indian rupees from a container that was seized at Chittagong port on September 18 last.The court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Norwin Akther Kakon granted the five-day remand after the investigation officer prayed for 10 days’ of remand to each one of them, said court sources said.A total of 2,71,76,500 rupees was recovered from the container. Six persons were held in this connection and police field a smuggling case against them.The detainees are C&F agent Flash Trade International Limited Chairman ASM Sayem alias Shamim, Managing Director Asadullah, Director Mohammad Ahammod Ullah Talukder, driver Mohammad Kawser Alam, Towhidul Alam and Saber, a tea boy at the port’s dock.BSS, Chittagong
