Special team to hunt down those in terror attacks:PM

Dhaka-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday said the government has formed a special team comprising all the forces to hunt down the real culprits of the recent terror attacks carried out in the country.“We didn’t take the incidents lightly… it’s our responsibility to root out and eradicate this,” she said.
The Prime Minister was speaking at a general discussion in Parliament condemning the recent terror attacks in the country and elsewhere in the world.
Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim moved the proposal to hold a general discussion to condemn the recent terror attacks on Holey Artisan Restaurant at Gulshan, on police near Sholakia Eidgah, Holy city Madina, the French city of Nice and other terror attacks across the globe claiming many lives.
Sheikh Hasina reiterated her firm resolve that the government will must find out the root of the recent terror attacks. “At any cost, we’ll arrest these terrorists and put them on trial and I’m confident we can do that,” she said.
Talking about those carried out the attacks in the country, she said the government will find out who are patronising them, supplying arms, financing the terrorists and militants and giving them advice.
“We’ve taken steps to find out all of these… we’ll hunt down the kingpins who are derailing the country’s youths,” she told the House.
Mentioning that the government is very serious about the two recent terror attacks, the Prime Minister said it is not like that the government will arrest one or two persons and it will stop here.
“Our duty won’t end here. We must dig into the roots of the issue and we’ve taken that step. Inshallah, we’ll be able to do that,” she said.
Hasina also mentioned that the government has got much information regarding the terror attacks. “It’s not possible to publish everything right now for the sake of inquiry,’ she said.
Lamenting that the children of the well-off families are getting derailed in recent times and involved in terror and militant attacks in the country, Sheikh Hasina said, “They’ve got everything in their lives. Now they’ve jumped into action to have Hur-pori in the Haven resorting to killing.”
She urged the country’s people to come forward unitedly to resist these evil menaces. “Through the united power of all, we’ll be able to free the country from terrorism and militancy,” she said.
Earlier, Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad, Awami League MPs Suranjit Sengupta, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Faruk Khan, Abdul Mannan, Md Shahiduzzaman Sarker, AFM Bahauddin (Nasim), Hasan Mahmud, Dipu Moni, Abdul Matin Khasru, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and Fazilatun Nessa Bappy, Jasod chief and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Jasod MP Moin Uddin Khan Badal, Jatiya Party MPs Kazi Firoz Rashid and Ziauddin Ahmed (Bablu), Workers Party chief and Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, independent MP Tahjib Alam Siddique, BNF MP Abul Kalam Azad and Bangladesh Tarikat Federation MP Syed Nazibul Bashar Maizvandary also took part in the discussion.
Later, the proposal was adopted in the House unanimously.
