Entertainment Desk
Bangladeshi actor Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and Indian actor Jeet starrer ‘Sultan: The Saviour’ will hit the theatres of Bangladesh on July 6.The film was slated to release this Eid at Bangladesh and India simaltenouously but a recent High Court ruling that banned that release of imported or co-production films during Eid and Pohela Boishakh holidays barred its release in Bangladesh. Eventually the film was released only in India this Eid-ul-Fitr.
At first the film was supposed to be a Indo-Bangla co-production but later on it was jointly produced by India’s Jeet Film Works and Surinder Films. Jaaz Multimedia is importing and distributing the film in Bangladesh under the South Asian Free Trade Area (Safta) treaty.
Jaaz Multimedia recently confirmed that the Information Ministry has cleared its release in Bangladesh and they are scheduled for a nationwide release as soon as they get its censor certificate.
Directed by Kolkata filmmaker Raja Chanda the film also stars Bangladesh’s Taskeen Rahman and India’s Mukul Dev and Priyanka Sarkar in the lead roles.
The film was shot at several locations of India, Thailand and Bangladesh.
