Thick fog divers plane to Dhaka airport from Ctg

Chittagong – A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dubai with 91 passengers on board had to make an unscheduled landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport instead of Shah Amanat International Airport in the capital on Monday morning due to dense fog. UNB news agency reported
Airport Manager Wing Commander Riazul Kabir said the flight was scheduled to land at the airport at 7:30am. However, it was diverted to the Dhaka airport due to poor visibility caused by thick fog, he said, adding that the flight landed at Shahjalal International Airport around 7:45am.
Some 21 passengers got down from the aircraft at the Shahjalal International Airport while the rest 70 passengers were taken to Chittagong airport around 5:28 pm by an Abu Dhabi-bound flight, said Riazul Kabir.
