Dhaka, Oct 29 (UNB) – The first day’s play of a three-day warm-up match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and visiting Zimbabwe was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.
The match was scheduled to begin at 9:30am but the play was called off around 3pm as persistent rain even did not allow toss on the day.
The Zimbabweans are still winless on their current tour to Bangladesh, losing all three ODIs against the hosts, and will play a two-match Test series in Sylhet and Dhaka in November.
The first Test will be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from November 3-7 before the second Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from November 11-15.
