Two Hindu temple body chiefs complain of death threat letters

Khulna – Presidents of two Hindu temple committees have received death threats separately through letters from unknown sources in Arongghata area of the district, UNB news agency has reported.Shalua Sarbajanin Puja Mandir committee president Mihir Kumar said some unknown people left a letter in a yellow envelop at his Xerox print shop in Shalua Bazar at night around 7:45pm on July 7.
It was stated in the letter that killing of priests will continue while that of presidents of temple committees will begin from July 14 next.
Meanwhile, another letter with the same threat was left at Shalua Nimtala Sarbajanin Puja Mandir around the same time by unknown people.
The texts of the two letters were composed in computer.
Contacted, officer-in-charge of Arangghata Police Station M Nasim Khan said they have been scrutinising the letters and will take legal steps, if needed.
