The Prime Minister also said Bangabandhu is no more among the people of the country, but his ideology still prevails in their hearts. “We’ll have to materialise the Father of the Nation’s ideology, The victory which was attained by the people of this country responding to the call of Bangabandhu was destroyed with his assassination,” she said.
Hasina said the only aim of the killers was to keep the country’s people oppressed and hungry.
Briefly describing her government’s various development programmes, the Prime Minister said the aim of this government is to fulfill the dream of the Father of the Nation.
She said Bangabandhu throughout his life worked for bringing smile to the faces of his people. “Now this responsibility has been bestowed upon us and we’re making our relentless efforts to accomplish the task,” she said.
Hasina said people have already started getting the benefits of various short-, medium- and long-term projects. “The whole country will come under hundred percent electricity coverage by 2021,” she said.
