World Twenty20: Tigers aim to restore some pride


DHAKA- After a shocking defeat against India, Bangladesh aiming to restore some lost pride as they face New Zealand in their last group 2 super 10 match of the World Twenty20 scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India.The match kicks off at 3.30pm (BST).Bangladesh already made exit from the tournament race losing all their previous three group matches without securing any points while New Zealand already confirmed their semi-final berth as the first team from group 2 with six points winning their entire group three matches.

Earlier, Bangladesh started their tournament campaign with a losing note as they suffered a 55-run defeat to Pakistan and lost to Australia by three wickets their group second match.The Tigers made exit from the championship race losing the crucial match against India by a narrow margin of one run.On the other hand, New Zealand beat India by 47 runs in their group opening match, defeated Australia by 8 runs in their second match and outplayed Pakistan by 22 runs in their third group match.(BSS)
