Young generations to innovate ways for preventing corruption

The young generations of the present days, including school students, should have to show interest in innovating newer ways and concepts to create public awareness for building a corruption free society.The opinion came at the monthly coordination meeting organised by District Corruption Prevention Committee (CPC) here on Monday afternoon to finalise programmes in observance of the International Anti Corruption Day-2015 on December 9 next.The District Combined Office of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) and RDRS Bangladesh under the Justice Reform and Corruption Prevention (JRCP) Project extended cooperation in organising the meeting.The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has been implementing the JRCP Project through GO-NGO collaboration under financial assistance of German Development Cooperation (GIZ).With President of district CPC Professor Mozammel Haque in the chair,Members of the District Coordination Committee of Integrity Units of the secondary level educational institutions and its Advisory Council Members participated in the meeting.Assistant Director of District Combined Office of ACC Atikur Rahman attended the meeting as the chief guest.District Manager of JRCP Project Ershad M Rasel narrated objectivity of the monthly coordination meeting moderated by General Secretary of district CPC valiant freedom fighter Akbar Hossain.The meeting finalised daylong programmes in observance of the International Anti Corruption Day-2015 at Public Library ground in the city on December 9 next.The programmes include taking oath against corruption by schools students, bringing out anti-corruption rally, quiz competitions, recitation of self- composed anti-corruption poems, publishing wall magazines and cultural functions.Taking part in the open discussion session, student-members of the Coordination Committee of Integrity Units expressed their commitment to work with honesty and patriotism in preventing corruption from the society.They vowed for spreading values of honesty in creating anti-corruption sentiment among their classmates in building a corruption free future society to accelerate uplift and make the independence meaningful for every citizen. Professor Mozammel Haque suggested the Integrity Units for arranging more anti-corruption programmes, debate and essay competitions for creating good moral character and anti-corruption sentiment of the students to strengthen their capability for achieving goals.BSS, Rangpur
