2 RMG workers killed as pickup hits autorickshaw in M'singh

The accident occurred at about 5:45am at Uthura Bazar area.



Two readymade garment female workers were killed and three other are critically injured after a pickup van hit an autorickshaw in Mymensingh's Bhaluka on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at about 5:45am at Uthura Bazar area.

The deceased were Asma Akter, 35, and her sister Shirina Akter, 26.

Bhaluka Model Police Station SI Kajol Hossain said the autorickshaw was heading towards Bhoradoba Bazar from Hatiber. When the vehicle reached Uthura Bazar, a chicken-laden pickup van hit it, leaving two dead on the spot.

Three others were also injured in the accident and they were admitted to a nearby hospital.
