Bangladeshi boy picked up by BSF in Thakurgaon

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi boy from Jagadal border area in Ranishongkoil upazila on Saturday morning.   The victim was identified as Mohammad Hossain,12, son of Abdul Majid, a resident of Chikanmati village in the upazila. Quoting locals, BGB sources said members of 121 BSF battalion from Tingaon camp under Goalpukur thana in Uttar Dinajpur district, caught Hossain from near main pillar no. 375 at the border point at about 7:00am while he was returning from India.   Confirming the incident, official of Detective Branch Major Towhid said a letter has been sent to the BSF asking for holding a flag meeting to return the Bangladeshi boy. – UNB
