Boot-camp for “NASA space apps challenge-2016” held at RU

A day long final Boot-Camp for the competitors of Rajshahi region on “NASA Space Apps Challenge- 2016” held at dean’s complex of Rajshahi University (RU) on Wednesday.
US-based National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) will jointly ne organized for the second time a Hackathon event Dhaka, Chittagong and Rajshahi part like 220 cities of the world, on 22-24 April, a press release said.BASIS director and also NASA Space Apps Challenge-2016 convener of Rajshahi region Ariful Hasan Opu addressed as the chief guest while Mhamudul Hasan, teacher of CSE Department at Varendra University (RU), Shohan Redhoan, teacher of CSE Department at EXIM Bank Agriculture University, Graphic Designer Nahid Hossen and Android developer Azmal H Polash were present as experts, among others.
Speakers said, Bangladeshi scientists will get more opportunity to work with global organizations like NASA through the competition while the regional winners will get chance to participate in the final part of the competition in U.S.
Rajshahi University, Independent University of Bangladesh and Chattagong Independent University jointly will participate as academic partner in the contest of Bangladesh chapter. – RU Correspondent
