The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices again, pushing the rate of 22-carat gold to a record high.
In a notification issued on Wednesday, BAJUS announced an increase of Tk 8,339 per bhori, bringing the new price to Tk 2,52,467 per bhori. The revised rate will take effect from Thursday.
The association said the adjustment was driven by a rise in the local price of pure (tejabi) gold and reflects current market conditions.
With this latest increase, 22-carat gold has reached its highest price ever in Bangladesh.
