Coast Guard rescues 72 people

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard rescued 72 Bangladeshis from a trawler near St Martin’s Island in Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar while they were being trafficked to Malaysia. They were rescued from the trawler some five kilometers off St Martin’s Island on the southeast Bay of Bengal at around 12:30pm on Saturday. The Coast Guard personnel also seized the trawler. Petrol bomb attack on Police vehicle in Bogra

Unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a police vehicle at Zero Point at Satmatha in the district town on Thursday evening.
