Bashundhara Isolation Centre, dedicated for COVID-19 patients at Bashundhara International Convention City (ICCB), will be formally launched on Sunday or Monday, said its Director Dr Tanvir Ahmed.
“The 2,000-bed isolation centre would formally start receiving COVID-19 patients from Sunday or Monday,” he told UNB.
“We’ll allow only COVID-19 infected patients referred by other hospitals,” he said adding that no patient can directly get admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the ICCB’s Chief Operating Officer MM Jasim Uddin said they have already received 450 members of police and Rapid Action Battaion (Rab) and treating them here.
The cops have been getting treatment at the Bashundhara Isolation Centre since Eid-ul-Fitr day, he added.
Earlier on April 9, the Health Minister informed about the decision of setting up a 2,000-bed Isolation Centre at ICCB.
