Cyclone Renal has moved towards Bangladesh making the Met Office (BMD) to raise its warning levels. Payra and Mongla Ports have been asked to keep hoisted Great Danger Signal No 10 and the Ports of CTV and Cox's Bazar Great Danger Signal No 9, according to forecast made Sunday Morning.

Cyclone Remal has intensified into a ‘severe’ cyclonic storm with wind speeds of 85-95 km/hour.

The cyclone was over the North Bay of Bengal and is expected to move northwards and intensify further.

It is set to make landfall between the coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting extremely heavy rainfall and issuing alerts for several districts. - GreenWatch News Desk
