A farmers’ gathering was held at the Baradadpur paddy filed premises in Gomostapur upazila and Nezampur village in Nachal upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Friday on the Farmers’ Field Day.
The gathering was held on `Extension  and publishing of BINA Dhan-7’. It was jointly arranged by Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) and Chapainawabganj district office of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE).Presided over by the farmer Abdul Hannan (Baradadpur) and Easin Ali Mondal (Nezampur) in the chair, it was addressed by Director General of BINA Dr. M.A Sattar as chief guest, Director (Administration) and
project Director of BINA Dr. Asgar Ali Sarker, Scientific Officer of BINA, Ashiqur Rahman, Scientific Officer of BINA Julkar Nain, Chapainawabganj-in-charge of BINA Momota Saha, Agriculture Officer of Gomostapur Upazila Shariful Islam, and Agriculture Officer of Nachal upazila  Zahidul Haq Chawdhuri.The chief guest said that chances to combat the crisis period have been created at the emergence of BINA Dhan-7. This high yielding and
short duration variety of paddy devised by Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) has created a great prospect for eliminating unemployment problem of the labourers working in agriculture sector.The farmers have got excellent yield rate of 55 tons paddy per hectare on average after completing harvest this year.he farther added.
