‘Nutrition club’ launched at BAU

A new organisation named ‘Nutrition Club’ was launched at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on Saturday.
The club started with the motto of ‘Engage youth in nutrition’ to ensure health and nutrition of women & children and promote smart cooking steps for preserving food nutrients at the conference room of the Department of Food Technology and Rural Industries at 11 am.

The programme was organised by the Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) with support from INGENAES a USAID project.
Vice-chancellor Prof Dr. Ali Akbar attended the programme as chief guest. Md Shahid Uddin Akbar, CEO, BIID, Prof Mohammad Gulzarul Aziz, Department of Food Technology and Rural Industries Andrea B. Bhon, associate director, INGENAES, University of Illinois, USA attended the programme.
A committee was formed to run the club with Raihan Abedia Antora as president and Akib Abrar as a general secretary and Nushrat Yeasmen as a mentor. – BAU Correspondent
