The unnatural death of the Jubo Dal leader in Comilla reminds us of the Awami fascist tyranny.

1 February, 2025 - In a statement issued to the media today, Saiful Haque, General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers' Party of Bangladesh, expressed deep concern and strong condemnation over the death of the Jubo Dal leader detained at the hands of joint forces in Comilla and said that such extrajudicial killings are not acceptable under any circumstances.

In the statement, he mentioned that the family members of the deceased alleged that a Jubo Dal leader named Md. Touhidul Islam lost his life due to inhuman torture in Comilla. His relatives and doctors said that the body of the deceased Jubo Dal leader had signs of torture.

He said that the countrymen will never tolerate such torture and extrajudicial killings in Bangladesh after the mass uprising of the student workers. Such unnatural deaths only remind us of the memories of the Awami fascist tyranny. He said that the countrymen do not want to see any more state terrorism of disappearances, murders, torture, oppression and extrajudicial killings.

In the statement, he demanded that those responsible for this murder be identified immediately and that they be brought to justice and punished through proper investigation. - Press release
