Supreme Court upholds Jamaat’s ATM Azhar death penalty

The Appellate Division on Thursday upheld the death penalty of war criminal Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam for crimes against humanity. India’s top court upholds controversial biometric scheme

India’s Supreme Court has ruled that the country’s controversial biometric identity scheme is constitutional and does not violate the right to privacy.
