The Rajshahi University (RU) authorities have taken punitive action against three teachers of the university on various charges.
The actions were taken at the 456th meeting of the Syndicate held on Saturday night following recommendations of separate probe committees. RU Vice-chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin presided over the meeting.Acting registrar and Syndicate member Prof Entajul Haque said the meeting decided to bar Krisnapada Mondal, Associate Professor of the Music Department, from taking part in any other activities other than taking classes for 10 years on charge of fraudulence.
During the period, he cannot perform any administrative work and cannot supervise any research and his promotion will remain suspended.
