The Centre of Research and Information (CRI)-sponsored interaction “Let’s Talk with Sheikh Hasina” will premiere on television and released for online streaming today (Thursday).
The program will be broadcast on state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV), and private TV stations Maasranga, RTV, Channel 24, Channel i, ATN News, Gazi TV, DBC News and Somoy TV at 8:30pm.CRI made the announcement through a post on its Facebook page on Wednesday.The program would also be made available for online streaming at the same time on the Facebook pages of CRI and Young Bangla, along with a number of newspapers and news portals and agencies.
They include Daily Ittefaq, Kaler Kantho, Samakal, Daily Jugantor, bdnews24.com, sarabangla.net, Bangla Tribune, banglanews24.com, Bangladesh Pratidin, bdmorning.com, United News of Bangladesh (UNB), barta24 and radio station Radio Dhol.Ruling Awami League’s research wing CRI had originally organized the interaction between Prime Minister Hasina and young citizens at her official residence, Ganabhaban, on November 23.
Interacting with a diverse group of youths, she had listened to their dreams, hopes and aspirations and shared her views with them at the “Let’s Talk” program.This was the first ever such event in the political history of Bangladesh where the prime minister directly spoke to the youth and asked the participants to share their ideas and thoughts on the development of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, CRI also announced that its docudrama “Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale” will premiere on TV on Saturday.The docudrama on the life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be aired on Massranga, Gazi TV and Channel i at 3pm that day.
In collaboration with a team of international personalities, Radwan Mujib Siddiq and Nasrul Hamid Bipu from CRI had produced the documentary, in which the narration was done by the prime minister’s sister Sheikh Rehana.The 70-minute docudrama is an extensive and five-year-long collaboration between the CRI and Applebox Films.
Its director Piplu Khan had described the biography-based documentary as “a riveting story of a daughter out of a tragic backdrop; the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”The docudrama was released on November 16 in four movie theatres – Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Cinemas, and Modhumita Cinema Hall in Dhaka, and Silver Screen in Chittagong.
