A court here on Sunday placed three Myanmar nationals, who were arrested for their suspected link to Myanmar insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’, on a five-day remand each.Senior Judicial Magistrate Roknuddin Kabir passed the order after police produced them before the court.Earlier, tipped off, a team of army and police personnel conducted a joint drive in Kainda union of Rajasthali upazila and arrested Jo Su Aung Marma, 42, and Mong Su Aang Marma, 39, on suspicion of their involvement with the insurgent group of ‘Arakan Army’ around 5am on Saturday, said Wahidullah Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Rajasthali Police Station.However, a case was filed under Anti-Terrorism Act with Rajasthali Police Station on Saturday, said the OC.On August 27, Ong U Yang Rakhain, also a Myanmar citizen, was arrested in Rajasthali, adjacent to Rangamati-Bandarban border, for his suspected link to Myanmar insurgent group ‘Arakan Army’ following a gunfight between BGB and the insurgent group members in Bandarban district. -UNB, Rangamati
