3 madrasa students ‘missing’ in Habiganj


Dhaka – Three students of Shamsul Ulum Nurania Hafizia Madrasa in Mirpur area of Bahubal upazila in the district reportedly went missing on Friday noon.The missing were identified as Tanveer Ahmed, son of Ayub Ali of Hasargaon village in Chunarughat upazila, Junaed Ahmed, son of Moshahid Mia of Shyampur village in Shayestaganj upazila and Sharif Uddin, son of Rashid Mia of Kashimnagar village in Barlekha upazila.All of them are students of Hifz department of the Madrasa, said Shamsul Alam, founder of the madrasa.”The trio went for their Magrib prayers on Friday evening and did not come back.”However, the madrasa authorities and the family members of the missing students did not manage to trace them till filing of this report on Saturday night.On information, a team of police visited the madrasa, said Mofizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bahubal Police Station.Police will take further steps after filing of a general diary in this regard, the OC added.UNB news agency
