A Dhaka court on Monday put three people on an eight-day remand each in the case filed in connection with the murder of Italian national Tavella Cesare. The three accused persons are Bhagne Rasel alias Kala Rasel, Chakti Rasel and Sakhawat Hossain Sharif..
Magistrate Md Mahbubur Rahman of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after Detective Branch (DB) men produced the accused in the court with a ten-day remand plea for each suspect.
Another suspect Shooter Rubel made confessional statements to another court admitting his involvement in the incident.
Earlier on Monday, the DB arrested the four suspects from different areas in the capital. On September 28, miscreants gunned down Tavella, 51, Project Manager, PROOFS (Profitable Opportunities for Food Security), a Netherlands-based non-governmental organisation of Gulshan area in the city.
On the day of killing, his co-workers lodged a lawsuit with Gulshan Police Station and later the case was transferred to DB on September 29.
