Dhaka – Four people were killed in separate accidents in the city’s Toragh, Ramna and Kadamtoli areas on Friday.Two unidentified young men were killed while 2-3 others were injured during a collision in between a bus and a truck near East-West Medical College Hospital on Abdullahpur-Ashulia Road at noon.
One unidentified Youngman, aged around 24, died on the spot, while another man, aged around 28, succumbed to his injuries at around 1:35 pm while he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Officer-in-charge of Turagh police stion Mahbub-e- Khuda.
The two victims and the injured were might be passenger of the bus. Injured were given treatment in local hospital.
In another incident, Md Saidul Islam, 22, a vegetable vendor was hit by a vehicle near Sheraton Crossing early in the morning while he was crossing the road.
Sub-inspector Anisur Rahman of Ramna police station rescued him and rushed him to DMCH where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead at around 7:00 am.
In Kadomtoli, Md Faruk Hossain, 30, a truck helper was crossing the road near Dhaka Match Factory at around 2:00 am.
Suddenly a sand-laden truck hit him and fled from the scene. Critically Faruk was rushed to the DMCH where he succumbed to injures at around 3:45 am.
