80,000 Yaba pills seized in Cox’s Bazar


Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 80,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Ali Khali village in Teknaf upazila on Monday night. Being tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a raid at the house of one Abdus Sukkur in the village around 7:00pm and seized the drugs in 400 packets, said Major Shafiqur Rahman, acting commanding officer of BGB 42 battalion.However, Sukkur managed to escape sensing the presence of the BGB team.
The market value of the drugs would be Tk2.5 crore, added the officer.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Cox’s Bazar
