Two women killed, 6 hurt in Narail 3-wheeler-bus crash

Two women were killed and six othersinjured in a road accident at Burikhali in Sadar upazila Tuesday.



 Two women were killed and six othersinjured in a road accident at Burikhali in Sadar upazila  Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mini Rani Biswas, 40, and Mamta, 50, hailed from Jashore district.

Police said the accident occurred at around 3 pm on the Narail-Lohagara road when a three wheeler collided head-on with a bus, leaving eight people injured.

The injured were sent to Narail Sadar upazila where on duty doctors declared Mini Rani dead. Later, Mamta succumbed to her injuries at 5 pm at the hospital.

Seriously injured three wheeler driver Ashraf was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Narail Sadar Police Station Showkat Kabir confirmed the matter.
