Bangabandhu Square to be established in Rajshahi


Rajshahi, 11 Jan – Under a project worth Taka 59 Crore 28 lakh a ‘Bangabandhu Square’ is going to be established at the Talaimari intersection of Rajshahi by the Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) in soon.Chairman of RDA Principal Bazlur Rahman told to the Journalists, the project of establishing Bangabandhu Square was finally approved in a meeting of Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday. The Tender of this project will be declared soon for its starting.
Under this project this third-storied square of will be constructed on 1.42 Acres of land where it will be featured by car-parking, amphitheatre, art gallery, and water fall at basement and permanent art gallery and Museum with sound system, lighting and digital screen at the ground floor.
The first floor will consist of modern restaurant, spectacular landscape where three lifts, generator, solar panel and sub-station for supplying electricity will also be installed. 251 meters of road will be developed in executing the project and work of interior and exterior will be in the square where murals will be in area 529.74 square meters long.
Compensation will be provided to those who will be suffer loss for implementation of the project. 955 meters long drain will also be constructed. This project may be finished by June next year.
RDA Chairman further said, to decoraate the city with the cognition of Bangabandhu he has taken such a plan of establishing it. It will increase the beauty the road to Rajshhai University and Engineering and Technology (RUET) and to the Rajshhai University (RU). – RU Correspondent
