Blame game of killing foreign nationals should stop: BNP

BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan yesterday accused the government of playing blame game over the killings of two foreigners.

‘We want the blame game should be stopped. Filing of false cases and bringing allegations against those will play active role in movement should also end. It is injustice and indecent behaviour,” he said while speaking at a milad and doa mahfil.

The BNP leader regretted that they condemned the killings and demanded finding of perpetrators and give them exemplary punishment but instead the government is trying to blame them for the heinous murders.

Jatiyatabadi Secchasebok Dal, the youth front of the BNP, organised the function at party’s central office at Naya Paltan seeking early recovery of party chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now staying in London for her health check up.

Nazrul criticized the prime minister and her colleagues said to make statements involving Khaleda Zia for the incidents without carrying out any investigation. “It is tantamount to influence law and justice,” he added.

He said they want to work to realize the just demands of the people in a democratic and peaceful manner.

Sramik Dal president Anwar Hossain, Ulema Dal chief Hafez Abdul Malek, Shah Nesarul Haque and Secchasebok Dal vice president Monir Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.a
