Blind CWC: Bangladesh taste first win beating Nepal by 4 wkts

Dhaka- Bangladesh tasted the first victory in their 2nd match of the six-nation Blind Cricket World Cup beating Nepal by four wickets at the Allama Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad of Pakistan on Wednesday.Earlier on Monday, Bangladesh team made a frustrating start in the Blind Cricket World Cup with a nine-wicket defeat against the hosts Pakistan in the opening match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.Sent in to bat first in the day’s match, Nepal scored a moderate 234 for 9 in stipulated 40 overs with Kinton making 66 runs.
Khurshed Alam grabbed three wickets for 55 runs.In reply, Bangladesh team reached to their target score, the match-winner 235 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with 6.3 balls to spare.Mahmud Rashid contributed an unbeaten 60 runs, Albul Malik 45 and Abdullah Jobin 26 runs for Bangladesh.Bangladesh will play their next match against Australia on January 12 in Ajman of United Arab Emirates.
The tournament includes teams from cricket-playing nations such as Australia, England and India. However, only teams from Bangladesh and Nepal agreed to play in Pakistan while matches with other countries are scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council was forced to change the schedule of the World Cup after the Indian government earlier refused to grant permission of its team to travel to Pakistan for the matches.India and Pakistan will face off in Ajman, UAE on January 12. The final of the tournament will be held on January 19 in Sharjah.UNB news agency
