Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury new BRUR Registrar

Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury today joined as new Registrar of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR).

 Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury today joined as new Registrar of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR).

 “The newly appointed Registrar today took charge of his office. The post became vacant following the expiry of the tenure of immediate past Registrar Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal on February 5, 2022,” a press release said.

 Officials and employees of the university congratulated the newly appointed Registrar with wreaths at the office after he assumed office.

After completing his graduation in Civil Engineering from Chattogram Engineering College in 1975, Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury joined Roads and Highways Department as an Assistant Engineer to begin his career.

 Later, he joined the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as a Specialist Civil Engineer and worked in different countries.

 He also worked as Chief Engineer at Chattogram University, and subsequently as Registrar at the same university for 16 years in the two posts.

“He participated in different training programs both at home and abroad during his long professional career,” the release added.
