After experiencing around one and half years in jail, a Dhaka Court yesterday granted bail to a child who was arrested in a explosives case during the BNP-Jamaat led blockade filed with city’s Airport Police Station.Along with some others, He was arrested on October 28 in 2013 after some unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at Airport area in the city.
Judge of Dhaka Child court Jesmin Ara Begum passed the order.
While handing down the order , she asked the lawyer of the child where he was during this long days.
Those who work for the human rights, why they did not provide legal supports to this child, she further asked.
Earlier Advocate AM Jamiul Haque, however, told the court that he was looking into the matter before.
On Wednesday, I submitted his bail plea on emergency basis and the court gave bail on my custody.
According to the court documents, the trial of the case started on September 9 in 2014 in the Child Court. During the 15 months, among 18 witness, only one came to the court.
However, several times, prosecution side produced him before the court. On last Monday, he told the reporters that his mother went to abroad for work, while his father does not take care him.
He has no lawyer to provide legal support and he wants to school for study.
