Chinese warships leave Bangladesh after 4-day goodwill visit

Dhaka – Three warships of China left Bangladesh for China on Friday after concluding a four-day goodwill visit to the country. UNB news reported
Chief Staff Officer of Navy of Chittagong region Captain SM Moniruzzaman officially bade farewell to the warships– Destroyer Chang Chun, Frigate Jing Zhou and Logistics Ship Chao Hu at the Chittagong port on Friday, said an ISPR release here.
The top officials of the Chinese warships including Deputy Commander of the East Fleet, Rear Admiral Shen Hao, and captains of the ships met with Bangladesh Navy chief Rear Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed, other high officials of Chittagong Navy and Chittagong port.
The officials of the Chinese Ships also visited several historical places of Chittagong including Bangladesh Naval Academy, School of Maritime Warfare and Tactics (SMWT) etc.
They hoped that the visit would deepen the naval relations between the two countries.
