Dhaka – Rangpur Riders need 167 runs for win against Chittagong Vikings in their second match of the 5th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Wednesday.Chittagong Vikings failed to cash in on a brisk start as they collected 166/4 in 20 overs although they were on 99/2 in 8.5 overs riding on this season’s fastest fifty scored by opener Luke Ronchi off 19 balls on his way to 78 off 35 balls, including seven boundaries and seven sixes.New Zealand wicketkeeper batsman Ronchi took a single run off Lasith Malinga in the innings 3.5 overs to reach the 50-run mark which witnessed four boundaries and five sixes.Ronchi, who top-scored with 40 runs in the 1st match for Chittagong, got companion of Soumya Sarkar in the opening stand of 59 off 4.4 overs and shared another partnership of 40 off 4.1 overs with Dilshan Munaweera in the 2nd wicket stand before he was caught by Ziaur Rahman off Ravi Bopara on 99/2 in 8.5 overs.Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq scored unbeaten 31 off 32 balls, including one boundary, while Anamul Haque (17* off 14b) and Luis Reece (10 off 16b) were the other double digit scorers for Chittagong.Ravi Bopara got two wickets for 14 runs in three overs while Thisara Perera and skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took one wicket each for 16 and 28 runs in two and four overs.UNB news agency
