A Dhaka court yesterday (Tuesday) deferred the deposition of witnesses in the case over the murder of blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider to May 11 as an accused moved to the High Court against the indictment order.
Dhaka’s Fourth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Ruhul Amin fixed the new date. However, Rajib’s father, Dr Nazim Uddin was present in the courtroom to testify as a witness. On February 15, 2013, on the tenth day of Shahbagh movement, Rajib was hacked to death near his residence in Pallabi area of the city.
