DU student jailed for BAU admission test forgery

A mobile court on Saturday sentenced a student to one year in prison for fraudulence in the admission test of first year honours courses under 2015-16 academic session of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh.
The convict was identified as Rasel Sohrab, a student of Pharmacy department of Dhaka University (DU) resident of DU Shahidullah Hall.The mobile court led by Executive magistrate Md. Al-Amin, sent Rasel to jail for one year and also fined him one thousand taka for forgery in the admission test of BAU.
BAU Proctor Prof Dr AKM Zakir Hossain told, “Invigilators caught Rasel while he was trying to give proxy for an admission seeker. Later, we informed it to the Mymensingh mobile court.”
Mobile court magistrate Md Al-Amin told The observer that Rasel was sentenced to one year of imprisonment under public examinations act 1980 (3).
Mentionable, around 65% of total applicant vied for 1200 seats on Saturday. – BAU Correspondent
