The first song of forthcoming film Halda has been released on YouTube. The song titled Nona Jol has already created buzz with its melodious tunes and mesmerizing cinematography. The 3:16-minute long song, voiced by Pintu Ghosh and Sanjida Mahmud Nondita and penned by Pintu and Tauquir, has featured some amazing location shots in it.

The film, directed by Tauquir Ahmed, is set to be released on 1st December in Bangladesh. Later it will be released in 17 other countries on 16 December. This is the fifth film with him on helm.

On Monday evening, director Tauquir joined Facebook Live with his Halda team. He was accompanied by actor Zahid Hassan, actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Runa Khan, distributor Jabir Hossain Abhi, singer Pintu Ghosh among others.

Earlier, Tauquir directed films like Joyjatra, Rupkothar Golpo, Daruchini Dwip and Oggatonama. Audiences have complained since his first film venture that his films do not reach a wider audience due to lack of proper publicity. However, the director informed that with Halda, he is quite conscious.

On the Facebook Live, Tauquir said, “I know that my films don’t get many halls and can’t reach much audience. This time, I’m trying to how the audience what this film is, in an attempt to promote this film a little.”

The actor-turned-director said that he wanted to be on a journey with Halda with the audience. Addressing the viewers he said, “We try to create a piece of art to show you, for your entertainment or even your criticisms. If my film has flaws, criticize it all you want. Point out those mistakes to us. But please be with this project, watch it.”

The film will depict how the river is being endangered due to pollution, grabbing, climate change and global warming.

His last directorial venture Oggatonama has been selected for Oscars from Bangladesh and also acclaimed worldwide and hit the world-famous Cannes Film Festival 2016.
