Dhaka – Bangladesh’s youngest Fide Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman emerged champion in 14th Dubai juniors chess tournament,
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamdan Al Maktoum Cup, securing eight points from nine matches that concluded at the Dubai Chess and Culture Club on Tuesday,UNB News Agency Reported.
The 13-year-old Bangladesh’s promising and talented chess player clinched the most coveted junior chess title beating Al Hosani Omran of the UAE in the 9th and last round match.With the day’s feat, Fahad received prize money of $US 2,000 as the champion of the tournament.Earlier on Sunday, Fahad brightened his chance to clinch title as he beat joint leader Rahul Srivatshav of India in the 7th round match and jointly shared the top slot with Rahul Srivatshav of India and FM Matviishen Viktor of Ukraine Rahul Srivatshav of India finished runner-up securing seven points rom nine matches.Sponsored by Mahindra Comviva, a global leader in mobility solutions,Fahad is participating in the international tournaments.A total of 110 players from 12 countries took part in the nine-round
